With the emergence of the social protest in Tel Aviv, I erected a tent. I knew I wanted to externalize the somewhat reclusive and intimate nature of the artistic process, to the benefit of the public.
During the half a year of its creation, the piece travelled through protest camps, public houses and demonstrations all over the country. The material used, the paper, pens and markers, were generously given to me by various people, and much of the text came from different sources, mostly by listening to people talking nearby while drawing. I allowed the stomping of shoes and bicycle tires, as well as the dripping juice of falling tree-fruit, to leave their mark on the page, in an attempt to capture the essence of the time and place.
